How Can I Pay My Rent?
Cornerstone Management offers our tenants a variety of ways to pay rent!
As rent is always due on the first of each month, the most simple and hassle free option is to sign up for Pre-Authorized Payments or Automatic Withdrawals. This allows for automatic payment of rent each month, meaning you'll never be late or have to worry paying on time!
We also accept Debit payments in our office, as well as post dated cheques and money orders.
What Happens to My Security Deposit?
Security Deposits are collected at the beginning of lease terms and are held in trust accounts according the the practices outlined in the Residential Tenancy Act.
Upon moving in to your new unit, a move in inspection will be performed, where the condition of the property will be noted and recorded. A copy of this inspection will be given to you for your records. When you have given proper notice to vacate, a move out inspection will be performed on the same form as the move in inspection. The condition of the premises will be compared against the notes from the move in inspection.
Deductions could be made according to your lease agreement and the Residential Tenancy Act. If the proper move out guidelines are followed, and no rent is owing, there will be no deductions made and your security deposit will be returned.
Why Do I Need Renters Insurance?
Cornerstone Management requires all tenants to hold an active tenant insurance policy. This is required to protect you as the tenant. Tenant insurance, depending on the policy, will protect you from damage expenses incurred during your tenancy, especially if you are at fault for the damages. Some policies will also provide insurance for replacement of personal items, or hotel stays if major repairs are needed to your unit. Consult your insurance broker to find our more information.
Minimum Liability coverage is accepted.
